Hi folks who else on here is posting blogs?  Has anyone worked out the best way to get the most out of the blog system on here?

I've worked out that I need to create a new blog each time I want to write It's not something I can add to as I think of stuff.  But what I haven't been able to work out is how I can see what others are doing.  There doesn't seem to be a list of public blog entries I can look through.  So it feels like I'm really talking to myself.

I'm trying to move over from Stroke Connect.  And what seems to be missing here is the "Connect".  When stroke connect was busy and I first started contributing there I made friends because I felt connected to others journeys through it.  I'm sure it can be done here too but so far I can't work out how to use it to connect with others.

Heather, I did ask also why I could not see other blogs. I was told they were still sorting things out.
I am going to have to ring and learn to use this site all over again, as I am having trouble. I have been kindly talked through it but I did not write anything down,
so am lost completly in enable me.
I am wishing stroke connect was still going at the moment. I cannot find anything. At present working on the below, this is mygoal for this year.
Hope you are keeping well

Hi All

(To celebrate disability action week this year,) 13 Sept to the 19th Sept )I am trying to put together a craft type market. To promote and celebrate people with a disability who are creative and enjoy arts and crafts.
So I am asking you if you could forward this INTEREST letter to any disability group, class, school or individual who may like to participate in this fair/market or even your management group.
Examples (for) this could be painting, finger painting, wood work , crocheting, pottery, sewing floral arranging, drawing, any type of craft.
They can either sell and keep the money, or (as a) group perhaps the money they raise can go back into to getting more supplies for the group to continue.
( Hopefully this event) may even change attitudes towards people with a disability focusing on inclusion and participation in community events.

Hi Jan, I have now learned that to see the list of blogs you have to type "blog" without the quotes into the top search bar. "blogs" doesn't work and it only lists the blog entry titles, not who posted them or when.I hope your craft fair takes off it sounds like a great idea. I did some drawing while in rehab and worked out how I could continue with my tapestry work. But then when I got home I got a new kitten and kitten/cat and sewing are not a good mix so I haven't done much of it. -Heather
Heather, I have given up on blogging on this website. It's hopeless, and I cannot understand why they have made it so bloody difficult.I was specifically requested by NSF to start a blog, which I did...on Nov 15, 2011! Since that time almost 4 years ago, I have tried to blog daily. I have had an average of some 300 visits per day, and on some days visitation has topped 500. Once or twice it reached more than 750.I am extremely disappointed that NSF has, in a way, thumbed it nose at me and virtually told me that my blog was worth nothing. This was despite me telling the designer of enableme the importance of blogs, with him agreeing.I have complained to NSF about the pathetic blogging system, but nothing has happened. So, sadly, I'm taking my bat and ball and going home...I am going to blog elsewhere, although how I will ever let all those who use to follow me where my new blog will be, heaven only knows.
Please NSF do not let this man leave. Mitch I agree with you I have had so much trouble trying to get this site sorted out.The blogging is needed as it is communication which people read and it is a big help to all of us who have had strokes. It important that this is sorted out because a lot of us now have a disability and people who work at NSF or the designer may not even understand that it is hard and we need blogging as it help us with focusing on inclusion and participation with in the stroke community online. This is very important part of my life these days is to go on Stroke connect, but this does not "enable me' easily to follow this new site.If I had tried to blog within my first 7 years post stroke, it would be like my speech is still today sometimes it it all comes out back to front. I could not find your blog until today.
They certainly have made a very confusing site! I'd like to contribute more but can't find my way around it. Fortunately I am also a member of StrokeNet and finding it a much more usable site.Went to eat a chocolate on Friday and found something unusual in my mouth. It turned out to be a filling. It was my one and only gold filling. Made a mistake of eating a bit icing from a birthday cake that afternoon and it found the hole. Did it give me gyp! Went to dentist Monday to have it replaced. I wondered if I should ask him to replace it with cement and let me sell the gold on the international market. It was put there 20 years ago when gold wasn't too bad. I might have been able to pay his bill with the proceeds. The trip to the dentist, the climb upstairs to his surgery and the treatment fairly stuffed me but I took the advantage of being in town to take my mobile phone in to 'Spark' for repair. Can you imagine the trouble I had explaining the fault with my clumsy speaking problem using a mouth still numb from Novacain injections? Deigh
HI Deigh,I can imagine that all too easily. I should get my act together and get my teeth checked. Haven't been to the dentist since the stroke. I'm thinking it might be worth going back to my old dentist 40 mins drive out of town (where I used to live) just so I don't have to explain all my dental history to a new dentist. But it's not a good long term strategy. I should find a dentist closer to where I live now. But about some things I'm a whimp.
Hi everyone. Here is the easiest way to find a list of all the blogs in one place. 1. Click on the search symbol (looks like a magnifying glass in search bar) Don't add in a search word. 2. Click on the blogs button. If you have any questions feel free to message me in my inbox.Diana
