The Occupational Therapy Department at Australian Catholic University (ACU) need your help. They are looking for individuals with a neurological condition to participate in teaching sessions with 3rd Year students. This experience is part of a subject they are completing, called "Interventions for Neurological Conditions".
The sessions will run in two 1-hour blocks on Tuesday, the 13th September 2015 (10 – 12:45pm with a lunch break) and will be held at the North Sydney campus of ACU.
Participants will be asked to engage with students in a practise interview, where students will have a chance to ask carefully prepared questions about an individual's diagnosis and the changes they have experienced in their life since their neurological event or diagnosis.
The information students collect will be used as a basis for an assignment to develop a therapy plan from an initial interview. Participants names will not be used in the assignment to maintain confidentiality.
Taxi vouchers for transport will be provided. Please contact Rachel at rachel.brimblecombe@acu.edu.au
