Funding

Hi All.

 

I have been lobbying my local Federal Member of Parliament Mr. Dan Tehan MP who is the Honorary Member of the Portland Stroke Support Group and a big supporter of our group for funding for the StrokeSafe Ambassador.

 

I explained to him how the NSF was able to use the last grant to successfully launched the StrokeSafe Ambassador Program nationally and to be able to recruit and train Ambassadors as well as help with travel especially for those like myself in regional areas and I also explained the difficulty of being able to accept new talks as it is impossible for me to self fund travelling to talks over 100 km away.

 

Mr. Tehan was shocked to hear this and he has assured me that he will be everything in his power to get funding again for the StrokeSafe Ambassador Program and he will try to get me to Canberra so I can address the government and how important the grant was prior to it running out.
