Surviving brain aneurysm

In early 2012 at the age of 57, my wife Carolie experienced a life-threatening brain aneurysm.   We have written a memoir of our experience in the public hospital system, in the Canberra Hospital (TCH) and RPAH Sydney to be precise.  I was unsure how to reach the widest audience.  After consulting a few people I've decided to publish our memoir as a blog initially as I am familiar with blogging and it suits my DIY approach.  The blog address is: http://journeyinamedicallabyrinth.blogspot.com.au/

We have dedicated the blog to intensive care nurses everywhere. It was our experience in TCH and RPAH that exposed us to their extraordinary dedication.  This is a warts and all exercise, so not every aspect of our experience comes out smelling of roses.  However, it is a frank account of what happened.

Thanks so much Jude. There is much more to come, some of it harrowing, but I hope it sheds some light on the experience.
