  • A growing number of studies show that breathing techniques are effective against anxiety and insomnia.
  • These techniques influence both physiological factors (by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system) and psychological factors (by diverting attention from thoughts).
  • Because these techniques are safe and easy to use, scientific validation might result in their being more frequently recommended and practiced.

As someone who lived with Asthma growing up, yes breathing was always very important. I don't know how many times I needed to work through an asthma attack thinking my lungs were on fire and struggling to breathe.

I grew out of Asthma thankfully, but breathing properly was still something I needed to learn as an adult. And mindfulness helped that. My own investigations of what worked was a very important discovery. I needed to feel the difference, not be told how I should be feeling.

I notice subtle differences with better breathing.

Physical outside differences and internal differences.

Keep breathing everyone.
