hidden symptoms

I am the partner of a 3 time stroke survivor. What I'm struggling with is finding help when the symptoms of his stroke are invisible. Further, trying to get help that doesn't require our savings to be depleted and also involve employment. This can be very taxing on both of us in different ways. Local GPs have not been of any help as i believe their experience with Stroke patients is limited further our neurologist is so busy that i feel like he only goes the the obvious medical issues and does not treat him holistically.
