Carotid Web

I am sorry to hear that you had a stroke earlier this year, especially at such a young age. It must have been a challenging experience to process and navigate.

We don’t often hear about a carotid web on StrokeLine and you are right in saying that it is very rare. Being such, there are limited studies and publications on it and no clear guideline on whether medical management alone or with stenting or carotid surgery is most optimal for secondary stroke prevention. 

Ultimately, as each stroke is different for every individual, the stroke management and secondary prevention also needs to be individualised. Have you had a discussion with your neurologist or vascular surgeon regarding your case and concerns?
