Hello,
I am a 'annie' (ruptured brain aneursym) survivor, psychologist and Ph.D. candidate from Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia.
I am currently undertaking a research study investigating aspects of psychological recovery after the experience of a ruptured brain aneurysm as part of my Ph.D. My study is recruiting adults aged 18 years and over who have experienced a ruptured brain aneurysm (a type of haemorrhagic stroke), and live in Australia, New Zealand, U.S.A., U.K., and Canada.
My study is conducted entirely online via this confidential link: https://vuau.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_bsmSv6KDOBZ197T and takes around 30 minutes duration.
The study is being conducted online to allow you to complete it in the comfort of your own home, and also to take breaks and come back to the survey (ensuring you login into the link with the same device you started the survey originally).
As someone who has personally experienced a ruptured brain aneurysm I am passionate about investigating psychological recovery as very little research has been conducted by psychologists into this type of stroke.
The study also has a designated Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/aSAHstudy/ and Twitter page: https://twitter.com/ASAHStudy_Aust
In addition further information in respect to the study can be found here: https://enableme.org.au/Community/What-Helps/r/Research-on-Psychological-recovery-after-aneurysmal-subarachnoid-haemorrhage
We thank you for your time and request that you please feel free to circulate the details of our study to anyone you feel may want to participate.
Should you have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact me via this forum or via my email: Joanne.thorburn@live.vu.edu.au
Thanking you for your time and valuable contribution to this very important study.
