My dad is experiencing swelling at his left foot and leg, he had hemorrhagic stroke last June 22

My dad had stroke last June 22, and he's already been discharged from the hospital last June 26. He had Cerebral Vascular Accident Hemorrhage (stroke). He's currently continuing his medications at home, he still has numbness in his left side of the body. Both his left arm and leg is quite weak, and now his left foot and leg is swelling. I wanna know if what caused the swelling, and what can we do at home to reduce the swelling
