Whole in my Heart

On Friday I am having a Heart monitor put on for 3 days for my heart. After my stroke, I had TOE procedure to check on my heart and it was found that I had a small hole in my heart from when I was in my mother's womb and the umbilical cord didn't repair, so I have had this all my life and never knowing about it. The Neurologist is not sure why I had a stroke, so he is eliminating what could have caused it. Possibility my fractured sternum after everything else is checked??

I see posts about repairing the heart and would just like to hear more about this because my neurologist is not sure yet if he will do that.
