The Australian Government's Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC) is currently assessing the use of Botulinum toxin A injections to treat lower limb spasticity following an acute event such as stroke, to decide whether it should be publicly funded.
They are keen to hear from those with lived experience of stroke to help them understand:
- - how the procedure may affect the lives of survivors of stroke, their carers, family and friends
- - the benefits and disadvantages of the procedure
- - the experiences of people who have received the procedure.
