Hi all,
Looking for a woman who was in Campbelltown hospital in 2001. She too had had a stroke and we formed a close relationship even though we couldn't talk. I have always thought about her.
I'm still not sure if it's healthy for me or to try to forget the past. Has anyone had a similar experience, to wish to know how your friend in hospital is doing?

Hi Barbara,
It sounds like you formed a special bond with this woman. When I was in hospital in 2009 I also met a nice woman. It really helped me to have one to chat to make the time go by. When I think that time I sometimes wonder what she is up to.

G'day Barb,
I survived my stroke in 1990, post open heart surgery, and have over the years had a few stints in hospital. I have always struck up a close friendship with the patient next to me, and two of them still catch up for morning tea every Saturday. I strongly believe, that hospital friendships, tend to be life long. I have been a volunteer with the Stroke Foundation, for many years, and have been involved with Enable Me since the planning stage, so it is great to see it up and running so well.

Barbara for the first time I read your post today. In 2013 whilst in hospital in Launceston I formed a special bond with a patient. A non stroke lady. With her husband she moved to Queensland. I do not have her mobile number. Sadly I have lost touch and often think of her, wondering about her welfare. I formed a friendship with the mother of a patient. We maintain contact. We both were going through tough times. Were you lucky enough to meet up with your lost friend. Jenny
