Saebo flex orthosis for hand

Haven't heard of Saeboflex before in my 21 years with OTs and physios. Is it new?

I googled it.the success stories are incredible. There are some videos on youtube as well. Sorry Pat   I don't know how to copy youtube links yet!

Hi Mahali, I looked into the Saebo flex in the first year after my stroke.  But ended up not going ahead with it as I didn't meet their recommended minimum shoulder movement standards.  The therapist who did my assesment said It needed to be used consistently for at least an hour a day to get the benefits which made sense it does work on neurplasticity but as I would not be able to do the required exercises without assistance it was not worth getting the device made for me.  I still sometimes wonder what it would be like if I could do more with my left arm.

All th best with it, it's not a cheap solution.

Thanks Heather. Sorry to hear about your experience with Saebo. perhaps you could  give it ago once the required shoulder movements start kicking in. Yes, I've heard it could cost around  Aus$2000.00 made to measure for my arm/hand. I'm hoping tomorrow's fitting/practice session would go well. Cheers

Oh dear if it costs that much, how ever can a survivor on a disability pension afford one?
