EnableMe Book Giveaway: Reinventing Emma

Hi everyone.

Each month, we're giving away a book written by a survivor of stroke. This month, it's Emma Gee’s Reinventing Emma.

Emma is an acclaimed international speaker and an author. She is an expert in person-centred care and resilience.

Emma was only 24 years old when has a debilitating stroke and is left in a coma. Nine days later she wakes and starts to come to terms with a future that has changed forever. Emma shares with readers her journey of recovery through eyes of a health care professional who becomes the patient. With tenacity and determination, Emma faces the challenge of her life. What she ends up discovering is new purpose and meaning.

Twenty years into her recovery, Emma is passionate to share her dual insights as a stroke survivor and Occupational Therapist to empower others. She aims to do this through her writing and lived experience consultancy business.  Reinventing Emma is used as a vehicle to relay my own dual insights and reach many others from fellow stroke survivors, providers to family members. In fact, many people with lived experience of stroke and health professionals are recommended to read Reinventing Emma in their training and journeys.
