Hi Can anyone please tell me is it usual to have the feeling of coldness and some pain in your stroke effected arm I don't get pain all the time and it is in different spots at different times the coldness I feel all the time especially the top of my hand and the ring and little fingers These finger ache must of the time and I get pain in my thumb tip Will this improve with time It has only been two months since I had my stroke

Thanks for asking the question about your sensation in your hand arm after your stroke. And as I see this is your first post - Welcome to EnableMe!
I did see a blog on EnableMe recently with information all about hand, arm rehabilitation. I did look at it again just now and there is some information about sensation which may give you an answer to your query.
Personally - what I do recall from my recovery at one point - and this was even a few years later. During power walking, the sensation of tingling and light throbbing in my left arm (stroke affected arm) focused around the back of my arm just above my elbow. I do remember it clearly as I was surprised at the sensation and made note of it,

Hi Sue, I am 12mths post stroke x2 due to a dissected right carotid artery I also have the same sensation you are experiencing in stoke effected left arm @ the back between elbow & shoulder since found out I also have bursitis in that area, I find it annoying when I'm doing certain things but its better to manage than the terrible nerve pain I was getting up until a few months ago.

I am 18 months after a stroke. I still have heaviness and discomfort between my shoulder and elbow in left arm. Some days its not so bad but other days it causes a lot of discomfort especially at night. I have tried to identify what activity, food or medication causes the variations so far unsuccessfully. However pilates exercises and stretching do seem to give short term relief

It is coming up to 3 years since my stroke. My right arm had a tingling feeling of a year, but I had three epileptic fits what changed them a bit. Now, I feel the sensation on the back side of my foot, middle finger, and top part of my arm; basically, 24/7.
I swim and ride nearly every day, so I am used to it, but after a bath or shower, I feel them again. Do they get better? Maybe yes.
