Does anyone suffer from constant eye movement after their stroke, and if so have you found anything that helps. Its very frustrating.

Hi Chris,
This is a response from our team on StrokeLine 1800 787 653
Hi,
About one-third of stroke survivors experience some form of vision impairment.
The nerves that make the eyes move can be damaged by a stroke. This may be contributing to your problem of constant eye movement.
You can find out more information about vision after stroke here
We would recommend discussing your concerns with your GP who may refer you to an ophthalmologist for further assessment.
Best wishes,
Alana,
Speech Pathologist for StrokeLine
Thank you. :)
Hi Chris,
I had an AVM stroke in March 2014, I am 66 now so things are not supposed to improve a great deal, but my nystagmus has definitely improved. I am taking my grandchildren for a cruise around NZ in a few weeks time so I wait in (vane I think) for my double vision to improve. Everything takes a long, long time to get better - if it gets better at all, but it only takes for one to read the stories and you realise just how lucky you are.
Good luck with your vision, be patient (I used to hate it when the doctor said that to me) C'est la vie.
Lynne
