Hi everyone,
My name is Lucy and I am the trial co-ordinator for a Sleep and Fatigue Treatment Study at the Monash Epworth Rehabilitation Research Centre. I have posted on EnableMe a couple of times and have spoken to many wonderful individuals who have taken part in our research. We are still looking for participants, and if you have problems with sleep and fatigue this research might be suitable for you.
We are trialling 2 treatments for improving sleep and fatigue difficulties following acquired brain injury - Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Health Education Therapy. Participation involves in 8 x 1 hour sessions with a Clinical Neuropsychologist, and 4 visits with a researcher. These sessions can be done in-person or via a video conferencing program (Zoom).
If you have had sleep and fatigue difficulties since your brain injury, you may be suitable for our study. We are seeking participants aged between 16-70 who are at least 3 months post-injury, and who have significant difficulties with sleep and fatigue. We are recruiting nationally in Australia - as we are based in Melbourne, any interstate or rural participants will be more suited to using video conferencing.
