Hi to everyone, I'm new to this site. I had an ashemic stroke 8 months ago with a speech defect(not to bad) but each day I awake with this dizziness or more like a vagueness tnat I have to fight through each day> Have acupuncture to help it but wonder whether anyone suffers from this or is it the medication. All will help

it happens , do what i do and live with it .After all seems the doctors cant help , atleast they try .

You mention both dizziness and vagueness and I think it's important to clarify what t is you are talking about. I rememebr my doctor saying that dizziness means different things to different people. Once you can do taht talk to your GP as have there are a multitude of causes , including effects of medication or the area of brain affected by your stroke.
In terms of vagueness this really hits me wehn my brain is tired. I can't stop it from happening but I do listen to my body when it occurs and stop and rest. This sometimes means sleeping for a couple of hours and other times 5-10minutes of sitting in peace is enough.

Hi Ray, I had a severe stroke 16 years ago & during my time in rehab (& shortly after)I suffered from an "eye shake". It made life a bit harder but with help from Specialists, doctors & physio, it got better.
Then a few years later Vertigo started. It's like walking along a ships deck in a big swell. This again was helped by medications & exercises recommended by a Specialist & physio.
Vagueness happens to a lesser degree late in the afternoon when tired. I feel lethargic & slurr words or can't find the words I want. I put up with it & blame my age now😄.
Don't give up, do ask your Doctor & give yourself time. Get information about your type of stroke & how to deal with issues.

Hi Ray, I survived a Stroke back in March 2018, and I too feel jet lagged everyday. But as mentioned in other replies, I rest when I'm feeling tired. Sometimes I wake up and feel so refreshed and then in the afternoon I'm feeling very vague and tired, so I'm learning to live with the constant 'brain fog' and just thank my lucky stars I'm still breathing.
