EnableMe | enableme - stroke recovery and support

Hi everyone,

My 63 year old mum had a ruptured aneurysm followed 10days later by a massive stroke in April. Sadly it has left my mum with a number of physical disabilities- which she is working everyday to improve. We were successful in securing an NDIS package.... which has enabled her to return home. I am looking into moving away from agency care to employing a team of support workers for her. I am not sure where to start....has anyone with an NDIS package or looked into this? Any advice would be great. Thank you and take care

hi Emelia ,hat's wonderful news , but some of us aren't as lucky , I have finally been accepted and had my first interview with ndis , its taken me 2 years to make a start with them , all seems like a bunch of crap to me , hopefully in the next 12 months I might be given a manager , as i said might , some people have to wait 5 years before they get help, so as they say there is still teething problems with the. In the mean time we are the ones to suffer without a future till they finally accept us , after countless phone calls . I am glad to hear you have got ndis support so quickly and you mum is on the improve.
