Hi everyone,
I thought I would post about some research we are doing at the eCentreClinic at Macquarie University. A while back Sheena from the National Stroke Foundation suggested it’d be of interest to a lot of people here?
We’re currently running a large national survey for Australians with neurological disorders (e.g., epilepsy, MS, stroke, TBI) with the goal of developing a free and helpful online program. The eCentreClinic (www.ecentreclinic.org) has developed a large number of free online programs over the years and these have now been used by more than 10,000 Australians. These programs are designed to help people manage really common mental health difficulties (e.g., stress, anxiety, low mood and depression) and the impacts of significant health problems (e.g., chronic pain, kidney disease, spinal cord injuries, etc.). We’re really passionate about increasing access to these kinds of programs.
Over the years we’ve had a lot of people with neurological disorders participate in our programs and a lot have encouraged us to develop a specific program for them – to focus on the different issues people with neurological disorders struggle with and some of the common cognitive difficulties (e.g., with memory, attention, concentration).
We’re very excited to now be starting to do this. But, to help us in our work, we are conducting a large survey of Australians with different neurological disorders, including Australians who have experienced a stroke. We want to know a little more about the difficulties people have experienced and whether people can access help and what kind of help. This information will really help us to develop the online program.
The survey only takes about 15 minutes and we’re really interested to hear back from as many people as possible – we’ve already had more than 2,000 Australians complete it. So, if it was of interest to you or someone you know, you can learn more and do the survey at the following link:

But, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions you might have. Or, if you’d like more information. You can contact me here or at contact@ecentreclinic.org
Thanks for your time and support - I hope the survey and our work is of interest.
Best wishes and thanks,
Milena
