Everyone who has experienced stroke knows how vital the support of partners, family or friends to help you through it.
They help us physically with daily tasks, challenge us to achieve our goals and prop us up emotionally when we need it. Sometimes they just bite their tongue when we’re having a bad moment! They rearrange their lives to help because they care.
This National Carers Week (11 – 17 October) take the opportunity to say thanks and share it with the stroke community.
Send a message to your family member or carer to say thank you - write or print a message, and then photograph yourself holding the note; or you can make a video.
Then:
- Post it directly to the National Stroke Foundation Facebook page
- Post it on your own Facebook page and include the hashtags #carers2015 #unsunghero
Or:
Email the photo to us at: enableme@strokefoundation.com.au
We will compile them throughout the week to show that our stroke community really values our carers!
