Australian evidence shows the stroke rate in people of working age is increasing.
There are 123,977 Australians of working age (aged 18–64) living with the impact of stroke, and almost three quarters say they aren't returning to work, or the same work activities they did before stroke.
That’s why a new research study, using telehealth support to help survivors of stroke return to work is among recipients of the Stroke Foundation 2021 Research Grants program.
Thanks to the Tim Glendinning Memorial Fund for Young Adult Stroke Research Grant, we’ve awarded $75,000 to support Deakin University's, Dr Alyna Turner's research project - RESET Rural Expansion.
