Diana I would like to share with you my experience of a trial in which I was lucky enough to be involved in 2014. It was 'Modified Constraint Induced Movement Therapy for upper body therapy. Based on 40 hours of therapy over 10days, 4 hours of therapy daily. There were 5 participants all at same stage of recovery. Trialled by Out Patient Rehab team at our public hospital. Manpower to run the program was huge. The experience was exhausting, mentally and physically. I missed one session due to fatigue. All up I completed 36 hours of therapy and over 17,900 repetitions in 9 days. Exciting results for me. My left arm works for me, no longer hangs like ,a lump of thump' as I called it before the program, I now use a knife and fork , turn down collars and use glad wrap in the kitchen. We each had to set our goals and I achieved mine. I forgot to say our good hand was wearing a oven mitt so were forced to use weak hand. Good hand often wanted to help!!
