Today we welcome Dr Lisa Murphy as Stroke Foundation's Interim Chief Executive Officer.
Lisa joined Stroke Foundation as Executive Director Stroke Services and Research in May 2020.
Lisa has broad medical training in general and emergency medicine, anesthesia and intensive care. Lisa has a deep knowledge of chronic disease, including stroke and kidney disease.
In the last three years Lisa has championed people with lived experience being meaningfully involved in Stroke Foundation activities. This has included engaging people with lived experience in research, with a focus on young stroke and childhood stroke.
We also look forward to seeing Lisa take on the unofficial title of 'chief activity officer' with her passion for running, mountain biking and fundraising for stroke.
We're excited that she has taken on this important role.
If you want to post a comment of congrats, she'll see them.
