Hi all in 5th month of having my stroke,! Help what can i do ? Right side stiffening up with more and more pins and needles! Went with my walking club am could hardly move is my brain starting to get the sensations back? Feel worse now!,What can i do?
Lyn stiffness in the morning is a big problem for me. I think a mixture of stroke, back back and ageing, the latter does not apply to you Lyn. I have morning routine. . Slow walk inside, a cup of coffee, then a heat back on my lumbar region. The heat frees up the stiffness,after about 25minutes I can move more freely. Also my physio gives me laser treatment on my back. The pain relief is magic. Not instant , about the second day the treatment kicks in. I do experience cramps in my calves at night.for 5years I use magnesium at night for cramps. Gives relief. I feel so sorry for you Lyn as you want answers. Do you have contact with a neurologist within your rehab team. These ongoing problems post stroke seem to never end! That is my moan to my husband. Jenny
Thanks jenny, my real problem is a lot of numbness as well as stiffness. Went walking with my walking club this am but find it so hard to walk without numbness as it seems to get worse and i perspire so much! Just about to have my eggs and shake for brekky and hopefully unstiff. Cheers
