Hi, everyone,

I have a favorite bench to do my meditation in the early morning. I love the light, colors, and the smell of the forest near this park. It is the best time of the day, for me.

How about anyone else?

Do you have a quiet place to relax?

Where is your favorite place to catch ones' breath?

On the way to my bench.

Hi Marcus,

I have a park near my home, I walk the dogs in the morning and I listen to a meditation app.

That is the way I start my day, it has become my daily ritual.

Hi Diana,

Headplace app?

I found it excellent as I am not allowed to have use any antidepression or anxiety pills.

I use it three times a day.

Marcus that's a great place to relax.

Hi Marcus

A lovely looking spot for you to sit, relax and contemplate - the bench seat looks very inviting with all the moss around the tree trunk.

I have a few favorite places depending on where I am at the time, the first being my Book Nook up the end of our house.  I eat my brekky in this area in the pretty flowered chair I picked up from the road side on our holiday to the coast earlier this year.  BARGAIN!  I sit here to read, listen to music, practice mindfulness meditation and just chill. The chair is so comfy.

At this time of year walking out the front door of our house is a wonderful spot to be as our Crab Apple Tree is in full bloom.  This only happens for two weeks in Spring so I make sure I stop to honour the tree's display leaving or coming home.

If I am away from home my favorite place is our Town Libaray.  Either sitting outside in the greenery of the forecourt or inside on the comfy couches reading.  I love being surrounded by all the millions of words and knowledge that books hold. I have always been in awe of the power of books :-)

So photos of my three favorite spots follow.

hiHi Sue,

Thanks for showing your favorite place. Firstly, I love the photograph of the Crab Apple Tree, full of blossom just like the sakura blossom in Japanese. My parent's house had a Crab Apple tree with brilliant flowers every year. In my garden, there are two maple trees both different colored leaves in the fall, but they won't change color until at least mid-October or November.

That nook looks inviting, with the sun on both sides of the corner, a place to read, meditate, or take a nap. Upstairs in my bedroom is the reading, meditating, or napping area in our house. From there I can see the hills where l go for my walks in the forests.

Now, I can see myself sitting back, reading a book on that bench with trees, moss and green leaves. It looks very similar to my bench. A number of people go past me while I sit and ponder on my bench,  running, quickly walking, or listening to music on their headphones. But for me, I just enjoy the early light, the sounds of the birds, and vibrate colors, sitting on my bench.

I have beautiful pictures in my head as Marcus Sue , Diana and Toni  describe their beautiful places.my lovely spot is in my elevated comfortable chair with morning sunshine pouring in on my shoulders. First off I look onto our beautiful magnolia as I am a lover of gardens. I then listen to a guided mindfulness exercise on my iPad, great for relaxation and pain. I forgot to say 'yes we do have sunshine in Tassie'

Hi Jenny

I can picture you in your elevated chair with the sun streaming in! Such a peaceful image in my mind with the thought of you looking out onto your magnolia - beautiful trees they are indeed.

And mindfulness is a great way in which I start the day too. :-)

What sort of difference do you notice a change in your pain from starting your morning in this way?

Sue
