Hi everyone,

My name is Lucy and I am coordinating a sleep and fatigue treatment study for individuals who have sustained a stroke or traumatic brain injury, at the Monash Epworth Rehabilitation Research Centre.

If you have experienced sleep and/or fatigue problems since your stroke, please have a read of our study flyer and see if you might be interested in volunteering for our study. You will receive an 8-week treatment for sleep and fatigue problems via Zoom (videoconferencing), in addition to answering some questionnaires about your sleep, fatigue and mood at various timepoints. There is no face to face contact necessary to take part, and we are looking for participants all throughout Australia.

If you have any questions or would like to hear more about this study, please get in contact with me at lucy.ymer@monash.edu

Thank you for your time in reading this post.

Yes I'm interested in being a volunteer for this study. I suffered a Cerebral Haemorrhage in Jan , following open heart surgery last Christmas The bleed knocked me flat for nearly a month and I had rehab before I could even stand or walk again. It also damaged the area of my brain that processes signals from the eyes and I have Homonymous Heminopia with slight double vision. Since returning from hospital and rehab in mid-March I have been very low on energy (very slowly getting my strength back). I seem to sleep OK but willing to try anything that may help with the fatigue.

Hi Colin,

Did you email Lucy?

Yes I got in touch with Lucy via email. She has sent the info sheets for the study and it looks good.
