Hi, I am 43 years and suffered a brain stem stroke on my right 7 weeks ago. I now suffered double vision and loss of pain and temperature sensation on my left body. Doctor believed one of the fine artery was block and no bleeding outside to the brain.
my main concern is my double vision and my sensory, just want to know if anyone had a similar situation and if my vision will come back to normal soon?

I am sorry to hear of the recent stroke you have had and the challenges you experience with vision and sensation changes.
It sounds like your main concern is double vision which can have such a huge impact on your ability to carry out day to day tasks. Unfortunately, it is hard to say if and when this will resolve or improve because everyone recovers differently and many factors influence one's recovery. Recovery from vision impairment can also be different to how may recover from other changes like arm weakness.
Some stroke survivors report partial or full recovery whilst others unfortunately do not notice an improvement. The main thing recommendation is to have an assessment of your vision and have it reviewed regularly. You could start off with asking your GP to refer you to an ophthalmologist if you have not seen one yet. An occupational therapist could also provide you with some strategies to manage the impact of double vision on your daily activities. We would also suggest looking at support services such as Vision Australia https://www.visionaustralia.org and Guide Dogs http://guidedogsaustralia.com/ as they offer great supports for those with vision impairment.
