Hi,
I’m looking for some advice. My wife (30) had a stroke in October 2018. She had a stroke in the back of the brain, that affected her speech, memory, and made the right side of her body week. We were based in Alice Springs at the time but did her rehab in Melbourne at St Vincent’s. She seemed to be getting better once we left, she even slowly started going back to work for a few hours at a time. I found a speech therapist in Alice for some private sessions which helped heaps and she continued to work on physical rehab most days.
However in early February she had another event, followed by 2 more similar events in the next month. She became dazed, weak, facial droopage and other symptoms. The doctors have said through MRIs and CT scans that they were not strokes. I thought perhaps they were due to fatigue but the last one she had she hadn’t been pushing herself in the days leading up to it like the other times.
Has anyone had similar experiences, especially in younger patients?
Thank you,
Reville
