 I knew it was true!

An old pencil will give your brain some good exercise.

‘Precisely because it is no longer essential for communication, handwriting can now be free to express its true nature as an embodied practice of creative expression, a synchronization of mind and body. ’

If you haven’t use the one for a while, give it a go.  You will be surprised!

Hi Marcus,

Yes - you knew it was true!  Trust your gut!

With technology taking a hold throughout the time since my stroke I always hung on to the good old pen and paper.  I could not deny what I knew worked for me. Keep writing :)

Thank you for the article Marcus. As an ex-showcard and ticket writing tutor, I can attest to the truth of this article. I also know, from personal experience, if I hand write something down I can remember it better than if I type it. A hand written letter always makes me feel that the sender truly thought about me; unlike a typed letter that is sent to numerous people. People say they haven't the time to do things 'old school.' Turn off the TV, video games and put your phone down - it is amazing how much more time you find in life. Now, I must stop typing - I have things to write. :-)

Hi Ros ,

It's very refreshing to be amongst such like minded people on EnableMe !

Have a great day 😊

Sue
