To go from one stroke every 9 minutes to one every 19 makes me wonder how much to trust the figures particularly when the report states, 'However, it is important to note the true incidence, prevalence and mortality from stroke may differ to those figures estimated here.' Using different methodologies for collection from one report to teh next means we're not comparing 'apples with apples'. It would be interesting if they were able to apply the same data collection methodology to both and then compare changes in rates.
The best way to help prevent a stroke is to eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly, avoid smoking and drinking too much alcohol. These lifestyle changes can reduce your risk of problems like arteries becoming clogged with fatty substances( atherosclerosis) high blood pressure.
There are a lot of patients who can't apply it permanently like me and It is very sad for my part.
