"The data shows us that smartphones can help people monitor, understand and manage their own mental health. Using apps as part of an 'integrative medicine' approach for depression has been demonstrated to be particularly useful for improving mood and tackling symptoms in these patients," said Professor Sarris.

I love my Headplace app.

Hi Marcus

For sure! There are many useful apps to use and if it helps then that's a good thing.  Headplace, I have not heard of that one.  For me I use Insight Timer , every day.

Hi again Marcus

Thinking more about what I really enjoy about t my practice in using these apps is that I thoroughly enjoy listening to a calm, peaceful and encouraging voice delivering different messages right to me.  Voices are kind and gentle, engaging, interesting and voices which sit with me well past when I finish hearing the meditation, talk or pod cast.

This is only one of the benefits!

Hi Sue,

Yes, the voice.

Andy Pubbicome's voice (Headplace owner) is so comfortable, calming, and clear. I am sure your app has the same type of voice. But, it is not just about the voice, but the variety of sessions.  For example, I am on session 4 of 10 for acceptance after finishing the basic sessions 1, 2 and 3 (free), Stress, and Anxiety (I paid for the full app).

Now, I couldn't live without it - it only takes 10 minutes.

You might his TED talk about 'All it takes is 10 mindful minutes.'

Meditation or mindfulness is a great way to start the day.

These little statues are common in Japan, but I still love finding a new one in alluring and intriguing.

How interesting Marcus ! Sounds like your discoveries are a bit like a treasure hunt 😊
