I had a stroke in July that left my left side non-functioning. Through a lot of physical and occupational therapy and hard work, I got most of my function back.
One thing I still cannot do it wear shoes that are not tied or strapped on to my foot. I keep trying to just wore my dress shoes around the house hoping my left foot will start to mimick my right foot, but no go. I keep stepping out of them.
Does anyone have any suggestions to work on this or should I just ditch all my shoes and change to all shoes with straps? I would really like to wear something other than sneakers and a pair of dress shoes that have an elastic crisscross bands on top.
