Yes Marcus this is a good read. Do you have support for you and your family over in Japan to assist with the adjustment of your live's with all the health related trauma's you have had?
I know when I was still in rehab - a bright cheery young nurse informed us that most couples split up after one partner has a stroke. It was tough for us, no doubt about it. Adrian threw himself into work as I recovered on my own at home alone mostly. Yet I knew he was there for me. If someone was to work with us at this point - they would have needed to be very able to work with us a a young couple -engage us with sensitivity of the traumas we had both just experienced. Respect us and hear us.

I am very lucky to have a great wife to was support throughout.
Also my a good groups for my rehab and riding. Without it would have been nearly impossible to survive as a teacher

It is important to share that respect for the people that have helped us along the way. If I was not able to see Adrian during rehab early on, I would have been even more lost. His enthusiastic smiling face coming around the corner to greet me every day made such a difference, to know that I had someone who loved me unconditionally! I know others had their opinions on "would we last" " how did he stay with me" "they will never be the same again". Just words from others that we didn't need to know about really.
Stay well together.
