Where have you been?

Maybe a long drive to visit friends or family?

Interstate via aeroplane?

International long haul?

I’m doing a SOLO work trip soon and I’m not sure whether to be excited or petrified?

Partly I’m excited, because it’s another shot at true independence.

The other parts are wondering about all the different things that could go wrong.

Despite the self doubt, I’m going to do the trip, because I know it’s good for me."

If I was able to I would , but now I am not healthy enough to do so .

I had my stroke 2 years ago Diana and thankfully regained almost all functioning back. 

I take my medication I work full time and about to complete my first Diploma level study post stroke. I have travelled away (driving) by myself for the weekend and have not felt concerned about something happening,  could be my 'pollyanna' attitude?

My advice is don't limit yourself because of fear. Maybe something will happen, maybe it won't but in the meantime you have a life to live, things to do, people to meet and love to experience. 

You are living with an experience of stroke, it's not all of you.
