Hi Marcus
An interesting magazine - thanks you for including us in you discoveries. Much appreciated!
I found the article on Brain Stem Stroke certainly related to my own experience. I had a clot in my brain stem - and yes everything described is relevant. I have always respected my journey of recovery - good times and very very hard times. I always strived to be a person not a description however the need for me to read the descriptions was a reminder of the severity of impact by my stroke to myself at the time.
The Stroke: I hate you article is also a very powerful honest story which will ring true for many.
Keep smiling!
Sue
Hi Sue,
I just watched a documentary called 'My Beautiful Broken Brain' in Netflix. It is a story of a 34-year-old woman, a photographer, and filmmaker had a massive stroke. From the very start, she films were recovered, her triumphs, achievements, and floundering rehab.
If you have a chance, please watch it. It shows to 'normal' people what it feels like after a stroke.
From that article, Stroke Connection, I have started to put together my photos and my terrible 'thoughts' - I refuse to say poetry as it is so simple. I am starting to believe that poetry will help me to understand and accept the world I live in.
Best,
Marcus
