Inclusion Makes the World More Vibrant
Hi everyone,
I have worked to be included in a community over the last 25 years which I have found challenging, disrespectful at times, amazing at others, knowing that many people experienced the same desire for inclusion/belonging as I did, but in different circumstances.
My continual efforts to adapt and understand what was before me has led to living experiences which I could only dream about when I was very unwell and every fibre of my being was stretched to the limit.
This Youtube clip was published in December 2017 to Celebrate International Day of Disability.
The connection between mother and child celebrated through a shared experience which reminds us of the differences in how we use our senses to "see and feel".
Being included, even if on the periphery at times still helped me. Because I am a very private person, I come forward when I can be of value.
I hope you enjoy the clip at the top of my post.
Sue
