Research Participants Needed
ATTENTION STROKE SURVIVORS IN SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND
The School of Medical Science at Griffith University is exploring the experience of adjustment to life after stroke.
We are looking for people who meet the following criteria:
- Had a stroke in the last five (5) years
- Aged at least 18 years of age
- Do not have a significant communication problem such as aphasia
- Do not have significant cognitive problems (including problems with thinking, memory or concentration) which may impact on your ability to provide consent or participate in the study
- English speaking
- Able to manage any emotional or psychological impact of recalling your experience of stroke recovery during interviews.
- Live within 50km of Brisbane, Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast
Your participation will involve:
- Being interviewed by a research student for approximately 45-60 minutes in a location that is convenient for you.
- Potentially attending one or two follow -up interviews. However you will have a choice to cease involvement at any stage.
You will be reimbursed for any travel and parking costs incurred.
Participation is confidential and all responses and information will remain anonymous.
This project has been approved by Griffith University’s Human Research Ethics Committee (Griffith University ethics reference number: 783)
