We have a new vacancy on our Research Advisory Committee and are looking for a survivor of stroke, with experience in research to fill that position.
Stroke happens to people of all ages and in all stages of life, and when it stroke strikes, it can instantly remove people from workplaces and communities. At any one time there are almost 500,000 Australian's living with the impact of their stroke - that's a lot of people no longer able to work to their full capacity. It has a ripple effect on our communities, and our economy.
That is why research into new preventions and stroke treatments is critical.
In this volunteer role, you will help us in our mission to prevent stroke, save lives and enhance stroke recovery. The Research Advisory Committee is a Board subcommittee that advises on and informs our Research Program and includes multi-disciplinary expertise because of the diverse impact of stroke.
