Adam  I could relate to much of your post even though our stroke experiences quite different. Early in recovery I could have a melt down any time of the day. My younger grandsons had to learn to be quiet around grandma as noise troubled me, I then felt irritable. For the first 3 years into recovery I needed anti depressant medication that helped  greatly. Counselling also helped me to understand that  my emotions were all very normal after a stroke. Now I manage without pills. With young children you obviously live in a busy family. Do you take time out to have a daily rest . I find that essential as that does help with fatigue  and emotions. Our Carers need  gold medal for the work they do.  Our families just want us to be "normal"again. Whatever that means"I I wish you well in journey through recovery .  Jenny
