Thank you, to Jacqui Wheatcroft, OT and researcher in post stroke fatigue shared her e-booklet about cognitive fatigue.
Jacqui says, “Learning what activities or conditions are more or less fatiguing for you following a stroke may enable you to feel more in control of your fatigue.
Triggers may include the environmental conditions i.e., light, noise or other sensory input alongside the cognitive, social and physical demands of the activity.
Monitoring your fatigue through keeping a fatigue diary with ratings or using an app to track fatigue patterns i.e., scoring before and after a task may assist you in understanding your patterns of fatigue and help you with self-management."
The e-booklet is especially helpful in describing triggers and what to do when your fatigue is activated.
