Return to driving after stroke and focal seizure.

Hi - I had a hemorrhagic stroke 23/9 and a focal seizure 24/9 last year. I see the Neuro on 5/3. When I last saw her on 12/12 my vision, balance, strength etc had all returned to pre stroke levels. I started work again in November. I ceased AED on 26/12.

At the last Neuro visit she said she would "start the ball rolling" on getting me driving again. What is involved? Is it just the VicRoads form?  Or more paperwork. What is the delay from VicRoads to process the form? 

 

I've rung VicRoads and was told that it's definitely 6 months from the time of the seizure but they also said it depends on what the doctor says. Can he tell VicRoads I  am able to drive after 5/3?

 

I wouldn't ask, but my mother lives an hour away and has category three lung disease and I cant get to her. She has a My Aged Care package and my sister is nearby. Is there anyway I can be driving on the 5/3, assuming nothing changes before then ?
