Budget decisions a blow for New South Wales and South Australian survivors of stroke.
Stroke Foundation is urging the New South Wales and South Australian Governments to urgently reverse their decisions not to fund vital stroke awareness and recovery programs in this year’s 2024-25 state budgets.
Stroke Foundation currently funds critical programs via donations, but as cost-of-living pressures increase, demand for services rise, and the health system fails to meet the needs of people following discharge from hospital, more funding is needed from governments to meet demand.
We are so thankful to our survivors and supporters for keeping Stroke Foundation’s life-saving programs alive, but the onus should not be entirely on our generous community. The health of New South Wales and South Australian residents should be a priority for state governments, so it is time for them to step-up and show that they are serious about tackling stroke.
Stroke Foundation’s work can no longer be funded by donations alone.
If you live in New South Wales or South Australia, we need your help to advocate for funding to support the community. Please unite with TeamStroke to let your representatives know that enough is enough.
For people in New South Wales.
For People in South Australia.
