Hi there, in June 2015 a new “Acute Stroke Care Standard” was launched, it informs Stroke Survivors and Carers about the level of treatment and care that they should receive. The Consumer Fact sheet is useful as it provides information that you can use to discuss with health Professionals about your treatment and care.
I was the stroke survivor involved in the working group that developed the Acute Stroke Standard; I am very keen to let people know that this information is there to help them after their stroke.
