You're invited to have your say on priorities for high blood pressure (hypertension) prevention and care for mob!
Hypertension is a major risk factor in Australia’s population with rates unchanged across the last decade. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are more than three times as likely to develop hypertension at much younger ages compared to non-Indigenous Australians. Together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders in health justice and self-determination, we are organising an in-person get-together to shape priorities for preventing, detecting, and managing high blood pressure.
Join the inaugural gathering of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People with lived experience, clinicians, researchers, and service providers to yarn, share knowledge and develop community-led priorities and solutions for the prevention, early detection, and effective treatment of hypertension in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
