Hi,

If you are seeing an occupational therapist, this is a good task to practice and problem solve with them.

Step one:  Take out the staples

Step two: Open stapler with one hand just like in pictures shown and place top of stapler under a table edge.

Step three: Push the bottom forward so that the stapler opens completely.

Step four: Place stapler on a table and keep stapler facing down completely open.

Step five: Pickup staples and place them near the stapler.

Step six: Using one hand slowly turn stapler keeping it completely open and place on table.

Step eight: slowly grab top of stapler and close stapler making sure finger are not in the way when bottom of stapler snaps up to close.

An alternative would be to problem solve it in a way that works safely for you. You may find it easier to place the stapler in between the knees when seated to help anchor it.

I hope the following is of assistance.

Kind regards,
