In terms of the quality of the hospital, you could try contacting the travel insurance company to see if he can be transferred to a different facility, although I don’t know the quality of other hospitals in Hong Kong. It mightn’t be any better. The other option is to liaise with the nurse unit manager or the hospital complaints officer to see if he can be moved to a quieter ward. In emergency at times when hospitals are full (or on what they call bypass) there can be overflow until patients are moved onto the ward if they aren’t safe to be discharged home.
