Hi Alina,
I'm sorry to hear about your stroke and the pain in your feet. If the pain is in both feet it's unlikely to be stroke related.
I would recommend making an appointment to see your GP to have your feet looked at. They will likely need to order further tests to determine the cause of your pain.
If we can be of any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us on StrokeLine, 1800 787 653.
Best wishes,
Alana - StrokeLine
I've actually found out since asking this that my stroke went over the centre of my brain so I will get symptoms in both sides. I wasn't aware when I first had my stroke that that was the case
Oh yes, that makes sense. I didn't think about it being in both feet. Thank you
Hi Alina,
If you had a stroke on both sides of the brain then yes you could have changes on both sides of the body. However, as Alana has suggested I would get a review by a Doctor as it could be completely unrelated to the stroke. There are many possibilities of what could be causing the pain at the end of the day. The Doctor may ask questions like is the pain in the entire foot, soles or heels of the feet? Are the feet swollen? Is there muscle tension or tightness? Is the sensation normal? How is the circulation, etc?
The Doctor will assess and advise how to treat the problem.
Hopefully you get some answers and relief soon. If you want to discuss further with us please call StrokeLine on 1800 787 653.
Best wishes,
Simone
