Hi Margarita
Thank you for reaching out to us. Following a stroke, there are often changes that you might need to make to look after your health.
Almost everyone who has had a stroke will need to take medication to reduce their risk of having another stroke. Aspirin is a blood thinning medication that helps to lower the risk of a blood clot forming, and helps to lower your risk of stroke. It is important to remember to take your medication regularly and don’t miss a dose. It isn’t recommended to take a double dose to make up for missed medications without talking to your local doctor or pharmacist. If you find that you have missed your medication, give your local doctor or pharmacist a phone call to discuss what you should do next.
Also, have a think about how you manage your medications so that you can avoid forgetting them. Try to take your medications at the same time each day, keep your medications in the same place and use an alarm to help remind you to take your medications.
