After trachea tube been removed how long does it take for hole in the neck to heal? My brother had it removed about 4 months ago and still have hole in his neck. Should not it been stitched?

He might need a 2nd operation to close the hole , and ask a proffesional , he might think it doesn't need closing and plenty of people  sill with a hole , it's not life threatening , but a nuisance especially if you can't speak .
